PEMBERDAYAAN MAHASISWA UNTUK PENINGKATAN LITERASI KESEHATAN DAN LITERASI KESEHATAN DIGITAL TERKAIT COVID-19

Abstract


Literasi kesehatan dan literasi kesehatan digital memegang peranan penting dalam mengatasi permasalahan kesehatan di masyarakat. Mahasiswa, sebagai kalangan terdidik, diharapkan memiliki literasi kesehatan dan literasi kesehatan digital yang memadai. Berdasarkan survei pendahuluan literasi kesehatan dan literasi kesehatan digital yang dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa/i FKM UMJ pada bulan Juni 2022, ditemukan bahwa hanya sebesar 15% responden menyatakan “mudah” untuk menilai informasi tentang COVID-19 di internet. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menyasar mahasiswa guna memberdayakan mereka dalam upaya peningkatan literasi kesehatan dan literasi kesehatan digital terkait COVID-19. Jenis kegiatan yang kami lakukan adalah satu hari pelatihan. Mahasiswa dibekali mengenai informasi terbaru mengenai COVID-19, pentingnya literasi kesehatan dan bagaimana memilih dan memilah informasi mengenai COVID-19 yang beredar di internet. Peserta kegiatan diukur tingkat literasinya pada awal sebelum pelatihan dimulai (pre-test) dan sesudah pelatihan selesai (post-test). Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan (2,21 poin), sikap (1,16 poin), literasi kesehatan (5,14 poin) dan pengetahuan terkait materi pelatihan (6,66 poin). Sementara itu, tidak ada perubahan pada aspek perilaku dan ada sedikit penurunan pada aspek literasi kesehatan digital (-0,53).
