Main Article Content
Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus. The transmission vector is the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes, commonly found in tropical and subtropical regions. Efforts to control and prevent DHF are not solely the responsibility of health workers but also involve all levels of society, from the household to the surrounding environment. This community-based activity aimed to conduct mosquito larvae inspections, distribute abate powder, and provide public education about DHF. Observations were carried out in 33 houses: 23 houses were found to be free of larvae, while 10 houses had mosquito larvae in water storage containers such as buckets, bathtubs, and drums. It is expected that this initiative will encourage active community participation in disease prevention and the adoption of clean and healthy living behaviors.
