Peer Review Process

The Section Editor will review each submitted paper whether it is suitable for the focus and scope of the Jurnal Abdimas Kedokteran dan Kesehatan (JARAS) or has major methodological weaknesses and similarity scores using Turnitin. Papers submitted to the Jurnal Abdimas Kedokteran dan Kesehatan (JARAS) must have a similarity rate of less than 20%. If the manuscript meets these requirements, the manuscript will be reviewed by at least two reviewers, and the review process will use a Double-Blind Peer Review.

Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. Average number of weeks between article submission & publication will take approximately 4 to 12 weeks. Decisions categories include:
1. Decline Submission - The manuscripts will not be published, and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to Jurnal Abdimas Kedokteran dan Kesehatan (JARAS).
2. Resubmit for Review - The submission needs to be re-worked, but it may be accepted with significant changes. However, It will require a second round of review.
3. Revisions Required - Manuscripts will be published in Jurnal Abdimas Kedokteran dan Kesehatan (JARAS) under the condition that minor/major modifications are made. An editor will review revisions to ensure necessary updates are made before publication.
4. Accept Submission - Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form, with no further modifications required.
The Accepted manuscript will be continued to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before it is published.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
