Abstract

The use of e-cigarettes among Generation Z continues to increase in line with the development of lifestyle trends. E-cigarettes are often considered safer, even though they contain harmful substances such as nicotine, formaldehyde, and heavy metals that have a negative impact on health. This study aims to identify the dangers of e-cigarette use for Generation Z through a literature study. The method used is a literature review of the latest scientific articles from Google Scholar. The results of the study show that e-cigarettes can cause lung disorders, brain development disorders, nicotine addiction, and psychosocial problems due to peer pressure. These findings underscore the need for health education, strengthening regulations, and the involvement of families and schools in preventing the use of e- cigarettes among adolescents.
