Karakteristik Lansia dan Kejadian Depresi di Panti Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia (PPSLU) Sodagaran Banyumas

Latar belakang: Peningkatan jumlah penduduk lansia diperkirakan akan menjadi masalah Kesehatan di Indonesia. Salah satu masalah pada lansia adalah depresi. Penelitian ini diperlukan untuk menginvestigasi karakteristik lansia yang mengalami depresi. Tujuan: Melihat gambaran hubungan karakteristik lansia terhadap kejadian depresi di Panti Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia (PPSLU) Sodagaran Banyumas. Metode: penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional dengan responden jumlah 42 orang dengan mengisi data pribadi, kuesioner Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) dan mengikuti pemeriksaan fisik. Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan 33 responden lansia tidak mengalami depresi serta 9 orang lansia mengalami depresi ringan berdasarkan GDS. Dalam analisis bivariat ditemukan adanya hubungan antara jenis kelamin (p=0,046), riwayat sekolah (p=0,032) dan riwayat bekerja (p=0,017) pada lansia yang mengalami depresi ringan dan tidak depresi. Selain itu tidak ada hubungan signifikan (p>0,05) antara usia, riwayat menikah, lama tinggal, tekanan darah, Body Mass Index (BMI) dan lingkar pinggang pada lansia yang tidak depresi dengan lansia yang depresi. Simpulan: Diperoleh laki-laki yang memiliki riwayat pernah sekolah dan riwayat pernah bekerja lebih cenderung mengalami depresi ringan.References
