Analysis of Students' Learning Difficulties in Solving AKM Numeracy Problems

Abstract


Numeracy is one of the questions contained in the AKM, and students solving the problem have difficulty in the form of a story, judging from the results of the PISA study state that numeracy skills are relatively weak for Indonesian students, 79 countries that took the test and Indonesia is in the order of 72. The purpose of this study is to analyze the difficulties experienced by students in solving problems in the form of numeracy in AKM. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Observation and interviews are research techniques conducted by researchers. The results of the study were that students had difficulty in solving numeracy problems due to the understanding of concepts in numeracy that were considered difficult by students, especially in story problems, this was because numeracy problems in AKM in the form of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) so that students had difficulty, the class teacher was not scheduled to do AKM learning because too much material was discussed besides AKM. In addition, the assessment in AKM is in the form of competencies needed by students to be able to develop themselves in literacy and numeracy. The fact is that numeracy problems in AKM are still difficult for students to solve.
