PENGGUNAAN STRATEGI VISUALISASI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN BAHASA INGGRIS BERBASIS KARAKTER PADA SISWA SMP

Abstract


Reading English text is not an easy matter, especially for junior high school students. They demanded to comprehend the idea in the texts. So, this article discusses about the strategy for the junior high school students which is interesting and easy to be implemented. This article also describes reading comprehension with character-based by integrating reading comprehension activities with character education. Strategy used here is visualization strategy that involves the students’ prior knowledge to makes mental image that will help them comprehend the text. They will have to sketch it down so the images become clear. The teacher will supervise students while presenting themselves with good character so that they become role models for their students. This strategy will involve interaction between teacher and students.
