NILAI MORAL DALAM NOVEL TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD KARYA HARPER LEE SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER

Abstract


Literary work is an art that contains many human elements in it, especially feelings so that it is difficult to apply to scientific methods. Moral is a life concept in the form of suggestions or meanings contained in a story, to be addressed to the reader. Character education is the process of instilling character towards each individual to get better. The purpose of this article is to find out the moral values contained in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird as an alternative to character education. Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird novel shows strong messages to readers using history, moral instruction and character development in the novel.
