Abstrak

Keterampilan mengelola emosi menjadi bagian penting dalam pendidikan emosi. Pendidikan emosi penting dilatih sejak dini agar anak menjadi individu yang mampu beradaptasi dengan baik yang penuh dinamika dan tantangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam melatih anak mengelola emosi di TK Masyithoh Bantul Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan orang tua di di TK Masyithoh Bantul Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya data-data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru dalam melatih anak mengelola emosi yaitu sebagai model, fasilitator, motivator, edukator, komunikator, dan evaluator. Peran tersebut akan berjalan dengan lebih optimal bila disertai adanya keterlibatan orang tua.

Abstract

Emotional management skills are an important part of emotional education. Emotional education is important to be trained from an early age so that children become individuals who are able to adapt well which are full of dynamics and challenges. The purpose of this study was to describe the teacher's role in training children to manage emotions in TK Masyithoh Bantul Yogyakarta. The research method used is qualitative with case study method. The research subjects were teachers and parents at TK Masyithoh Bantul Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Furthermore, the data were analyzed qualitatively with the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the teacher's role in training children to manage emotions was as a model, facilitator, motivator, educator, communicator, and evaluator. This role will run more optimally if it is accompanied by parental involvement.
