Abstract

Motor merupakan kendaraan pribadi yang banyak digunakan untuk transportasi di kota-kota di Indonesia karena harga belinya yang relatif murah dan kelincahannya. Tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas yang melibatkan sepeda motor adalah jenis kecelakaan tertinggi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi penyimpangan dan pelanggaran berkendara yang dilakukan oleh pengendara sepeda motor, serta menganalisa hubungan tingkat pelanggaran lalu lintas dengan faktor usia, pengalaman berkendara, dan kecelakaan lalu lintas yang dialami pengendara. Kebiasaan mengemudi diteliti menggunakan Driver behavior questionnaire (DBQ.) Analisa variansi dan analisa korelasi digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara driver behavior dengan ketiga faktor yang diamati. Penelitian dilakukan di Kota Cilegon dan penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan pada 8 kecamatan di Kota Cilegon. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan kelompok pelanggaran mengemudi yang terbanyak dilakukan adalah ordinary violation atau pelanggaran yang sengaja dilakukan. Pelanggaran yang dilakukan pengemudi pada tingkat usia remaja (17-25 tahun) dan tingkat usia dewasa awal (26-35 tahun) signifikan lebih tinggi dibanding pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh pengendara pada usia dewasa akhir (≥36 tahun). Berdasarkan analisis korelasi didapatkan bahwa pengalaman berkendara memiliki tingkat korelasi sedang dengan driver behavior pelanggaran lalu lintas (R2 =0,463), sedangkan pelanggaran lalu lintas memiliki korelasi rendah dengan jumlah kecelakaan yang dialami pengendara..
