KAJIAN ARSITEKTUR METAFORA PADA BANGUNAN MUSEUM (MUSEUM TSUNAMI, ACEH)

Museum merupakan suatu tempat yang diperuntukkan untuk masyarakat umum dimana didalamnya terdapat benda-benda yang patut untuk dipamerkan karena benda tersebut memiliki nilai tersendiri seperti peninggalan bersejarah, seni, ilmu, juga untuk menyimpan barang-barang kuno. Museum sendiri berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk menyimpan, perawatan, pengamanan dan pelestarian benda benda bukti hasil peradaban budaya manusia serta lingkungannya guna menunjang upaya perlindungan dan pelestarian kebudayaan bangsa. Meskipun demikian museum mengalami penurunan minat pengunjung karena museum terkesan membosankan dan kurang memiliki daya tarik untuk dikunjungi. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yaitu menggunakan teori yang sudah ada dan didukung dengan data secara faktual yang kemudian di proses untuk memahami bagaimana penerapan konsep arsitektur metafora terhadap bangunan museum. Dimana konsep arsitektur metafora merupakan konsep yang mengutamakan tampilan bangunan. Dan karena itu pemilihan dan penerapan yang akan dimetaforakan menjadi aspek penting dalam proses desain. Sehingga selain dapat digunakan sesuai fungsinya, desain juga dapat dinikmati secara visual sehingga minat pengunjung untuk datang ke museum menjadi meningkat.
