PENERAPAN KONSEP ARSITEKTUR UNIVERSAL PADA DESAIN PUSAT REHABILITASI PENYAKIT LANGKA DI TANGERANG SELATAN

ABSTRAK.Fasilitas kesehatan dan sarana pendidikan merupakan kebutuhan manusia yang sangat penting dalam keberlangsungan hidupnya, tak terkecuali bagi para penderita penyakit langka.Penyakit langka adalah suatu kelainan atau penyakit yang angka kejadianya 1:2000 orang atau lebih, dan saat ini ada sekitar 6000–8000 jenis kelainan yang telah teridentifikasi. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan para penderita penyakit langka dirancang sebuah pusat rehabilitasi penyakit langka dengan pendekatan arsitektur universal. Pendekatan arsitektur universal bertujuan untuk memudahkan aktifitas penderita baik aktifitas mandiri ataupun dengan pendampingan. Dengan adanya pusat rehabilitasi penyakit langka ini diharapkan menjadi pusat untuk penanganan dan proses pemulihan bagi penderita penyakit langka di Indonesia yang berorientasi pada kemandirian. A rare disease is disorder or a disease which happen in ratio 1:2000 people or more, and now there are about 6000-8000 types of disorders that have been identified. To fulfill the rare disease patient need, it will be designed a rare disease rehabilitation center with universal architecture approach. The approach of universal architecture aims to facilitate rare disease patients activities, either individual nor with mentoring. With this rare disease rehabilitation center is expected to be a center of handling and recovery process for rare disease patients in Indonesia and improve their independence.
