KONSEP SIMBOLISME BUDAYA DALAM PEANCANGAN KAWASAN WISATA CAKAT RAYA KABUPATEN TULANG BAWANG

ABSTRAK. Aspek pariwisata yang perlu dikembangkan di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang untuk menjadikan sebuah ikon daerah Tulang Bawang yaitu proses pengenalan kebudayaan serta proses pelestarian budaya lokal kepada pendatang. Untuk memenuhi tujuan tersebut, konsep dalam pengembangan pariwisata di Tulang Bawang mennggunaka konsep simbolisme budaya. Penerapan desain simbolisme dalam bangunan mengacu pada bentukan simbolis kebudayaan fisik dari rumah adat tradisional Tulang Bawang, seperti pilar kayu dan ukiran khas Tulang Bawang. Atap menjulang diterapkan sebagai symbol dari keagungan Tuhan yang erasal dari rumah adat Sumatera Barat. Bangunan panggung symbol darikedudukan dan keselarasan alam dari rumah adat Sumatera Utara. Sedangkan bukaan lebar merupakan adaptasi dari rumah Jawa simbol darikeselarasan alam sekitar. Kata kunci : Kawasan wisata, Tulang Bawang, simbolisme budaya. ABSTRACT. Aspects of tourism that need to be developed in Tulang Bawang Regency to make an icon of the Tulang Bawang area are the process of introducing culture and the process of preserving local culture to migrants. To meet these objectives, the concept of developing tourism in Tulang Bawang uses the concept of cultural symbolism. The application of symbolism design in buildings refers to the symbolic formations of physical culture from traditional Tulang Bawang traditional houses, such as wooden pillars and Tulang Bawang carvings. The towering roof is applied as a symbol of the majesty of God from the traditional house of West Sumatra. The stage building is a symbol of the position and harmony of nature of the North Sumatra traditional house. While the wide opening is an adaptation of the Javanese house symbol of harmony of the natural surroundings. Keywords: Tourist area, Tulang Bawang, cultural symbolism.
