Analisis Kualitas Batubara sebagai Penentu Faktor Swabakar

Abstract


Peningkatan konsumsi energi dunia mengakibatkan semakin meningkatnya produksi batubara. Proses distribusi batubara secara teoritis menggunakan konsep manajemen  FIRST IN FIRST OUT (FIFO), akan tetapi dikarenakan kondisi transportasi sebagai sarana penunjang dalam menditribusikan batubara masih sangat terbatas mengakibatkan terjadinya penumpukan pada area stockpile batubara. Salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kenaikan temperatur batubara di dalam stockpile yaitu kualitas kalori dari batubara. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan 3 sampel kalori batubara (4800, 5000 dan 6500) kalori untuk dilakukan analisis proksimat dan ultimat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variable dalam analisis proksimat dan ultimat dapat menentukan tingkat kecepatan terjadinya swabakar batubara. Proses mitigasi peningkatan kualitas batubara diperlukan untuk mengurangi dampak terjadinya swabakar di stockpile.
