Pengaruh Perbedaan Suhu Kalsinasi pada Sintesa Nanopigmen CoAl2O4

Abstract


Kobalt merupakan bahan kimia yang umum digunakan sebagai bahan pewarna di berbagai industri, oleh karena itu dilakukan pengembangan alternatif pembuatan pewarna dengan bahan baku  CoAl2O4  sebagai pigmen pada keramik dengan teknologi nano. CoAl2O4 disintesa dengan metode bottom up dan kemudian dikalsinasi untuk menghasilkan pigmen. Nanopigmen kemudian dilakukan pengujian pengaruh suhu kalsinasi dan karakteristik yaitu XRD dan SEM. Variabel suhu kalsinasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu suhu 400, 500, 600,700 dan 800oC dengan kondisi pH 8, waktu pengadukan 2.5 jam dan penambahan tween sebagai surfaktan. Dari peneliatian ini didapatkan hasil optimum pada suhu 800oC melalui pengujian XRD dengan hasil; height: 163.4 dengan d-spacing 1.99229.
