Pengaruh pH dan Rasio Reaktan PO4 : Mg Terhadap Penurunan Kandungan PO4 dalam Urine Melalui Proses Pembentukan Struvite Kristal

Abstract


Pada penelitian ini, proses pembentukan struvite dari urine manusia menggunakan alat Batch Aerasi Column Crystallizer. Proses pembentukan struvite kristal dengan mempelajari pengaruh pH urine, rasio reaktan PO4:Mg. dan kinetika reaksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semakin tinggi pH urine maka laju penurunan semakin meningkat sampai dengan pH 9 dan kemudian mengalami penurunan setelah pH 9,5. Pengaruh rasio reaktan PO4 : Mg terhadap penurunan konsenetrasi PO4 menunjukkan rasio rektan PO4 : Mg 1:3 menghasilkan penurunan konsentrasi  yang maksimum. Kinetika reaksi pembentukan struvite kristal dari urine pada Batch Aerasi Column Crystallizer terjadi pada kinetika orde pertama dengan nilai k adalah 0,1634 min-1. Hasil pengamatan produk padatan yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian dengan menggunakan mikroskop, SEM dan EDS mengindikasikan struvite Kristal.
