Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to AN-Nur: Jurnal Kajian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan Masyarakat must adhere to the journal's focus and scope and author guidelines. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection softaware to do the similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using a Plagiarism Check software. The research article submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors.

Journal Ethic Statements

AN-Nur: Jurnal Kajian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan Masyarakat is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Authors who submit papers to Journal An-nur attest that their work is original and unpublished, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. In addition, authors confirm that their paper is their own; that it has not been copied or plagiarized, in whole or in part, from other works; and that they have disclosed actual or potential conflicts of interest with their work or partial benefits associated with it.

Duties of Editor

Publication decisions

The editor is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The editor may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editor may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Fair play

An editor at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Confidentiality

The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author

Duties of Authors

Reporting standards

Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Duty of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper

Promptness

Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notifiy the editor

Publication Frequency

Plagiarism Policy

The Editorial Board of AN-Nur: Jurnal Kajian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan Masyarakat recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore enforces the following policy with defined actions when plagiarism is identified in a submitted article.

Definition

Plagiarism is defined as the use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and presenting them as one's own original work.

Policy

Submitted papers must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Any material copied verbatim from another source must be clearly distinguished by:

  • Indentation
  • Use of quotation marks
  • Proper citation of the source

Text exceeding fair use (defined here as more than two to three sentences) or any graphic material reproduced from another source requires:

  • Permission from the copyright holder
  • Citation of the original source

When plagiarism is detected, the Editor-in-Chief will take action based on the severity level as follows:

Levels of Plagiarism and Actions

    • 1. Minor: Short section copied without significant data or ideas.
      Action: Warning issued; authors required to revise and properly cite.

    • 2. Intermediate: Significant portion plagiarized without proper citation.
      Action: Article rejected; authors banned from submitting for 1 year.

  • 3. Severe: Major part plagiarized involving original results or ideas.
    Action: Article rejected; authors banned for 5 years.

All authors are equally responsible and subject to the same penalties as they sign the journal's Copyright Transfer Form.

In case of a second offense, the Editorial Board (including Editor-in-Chief) may decide to impose a permanent ban.

Additional Notes

  • Plagiarism includes reuse of previously published material by the same authors without proper acknowledgment.
  • Self-plagiarism of more than 10% is treated as intermediate; more than 50% as severe. If limited to the methods section, it is minor.
  • Authors must indicate reused material and obtain permission where needed.
  • Conference papers reused in journal submissions must include proper citation and permission from the copyright holder.
  • Translated articles must include details of the original and necessary copyright permissions.
  • The editor may republish “historic” papers with proper attribution and permission.

The journal’s Layout Editor maintains a list of banned authors and will ensure that no submissions are accepted from them. This policy is available on the journal’s website and is sent to authors during submission confirmation. Authors must confirm their understanding of this policy by signing the copyright transfer form.

Open Access

AN-Nur: Jurnal Kajian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan Masyarakat publishes fully open access journals, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. Non-commercial use and distribution in any medium is permitted, provided the author and the journal are properly credited.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

This journal charges the following author fees:

Article Publication Fee: Rp 250.000 (IDR) or $21 (USD)

If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay this fee to cover publication costs.

You will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
