Abstract


Antenatal care is health care that is carried out by health workers to mothers during pregnancy according to standard antenatal care. One of important things should be given and explain in ANC is about food (diet) to fulfill the nutritional needs of pregnant women that was associated with mothers' knowledge of nutrition, the knowledge about the relationship of food consumption and the body's health. Good eating habits are a reflection from the knowledge of good nutrition which measured by the average number of calories per day.This research aims to determine the relationship between the frequency of antenatal care with pregnancy nutrition knowledge level and energy intake level in the third trimester of primigravida in working area of Rampal Celaket Health Center, Malang.  This study was an observational descriptive analytic study that using cross-sectional design. Sample method of this study was total sampling of 24 respondents. The instrument research was a questionnaire. This research was using the Spearman Correlation test which obtained p – value> 0.05 ( 0.000> 0.05 ) for all variables which means that Ho is accepted, so it can be concluded that there was no relationship between the frequency of antenatal care with pregnancy nutrition knowledge level and energy intake level in the third trimester primigravida in working area of Rampal Celaket Health Center, Malang.
