IMPACT ON TEACHER CERTIFICATION TEACHER PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT (CASE STUDY IN MADRASAH ALIYAH MUHAMMADIYAH SETU, SERPONG SOUTH TANGERANG)

Abstract


According to the Teacher Competency Test (UKG) in 2015, in the field of pedagogic and professional showed minimum results, namely, 53, 02 the national average, which is targeted to 55. According to Anies Baswedan as the Minister of Education and Culture at the time, the outcome of Teacher Competency Test (UKG) will be fixed to improve the performance of teachers. Therefore, the government strives to improve the quality of teachers. One of the Government's effort to improve the quality of teachers becoming professional teachers is through the teacher certification. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of teacher certification to through the teachers’ performance in Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah South Tangerang, which in principle is not to prove but to improve. Data collection techniques used documentation and interviews. Documentation is examining the books and other scientific papers that are related to the problems examined. Interview is delve indepth information to the informant. Data were analyzed using descriptive analytic. The results showed that, the teacher certification gave a positive impact on teachers’ salary, and tends to increase in learning activities, if there is supervision.
