WRITING GUIDE PUBLICATION JOURNAL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH
General information
Jurnal Kedokteran dan Kesehatan receive scientific manuscripts from scientists/academics and practitioners in Medical Science and Health. Papers can be research, book reviews that have never been published and free from the elements of plagiarism.
Periodic journal published every semester, in January and July.
Scientific manuscripts should be written in Bahasa or English is good and right. Authors agree to transfer copyright of the Faculty of Medicine and Health UMJ, if and when the manuscript is accepted and published.
Manuscripts will not be loaded, if it contains an element of racial, political, commercial, excessive subjectivity, protrusion of someone who is praised or degrading.
Script Format
The posts are typed on A4 paper, upper, lower, and side borders of 2.50 cm each, 1,5 spacing, Times New Roman 11 font, no back and forth, up to 20 pages include abstract. The research script (original essay) should include:
- Title, title is made short, informative and able to explain the contents of the writings, maximum 14 words, Times Font Type New Roman, Size 16pt, Bold and 1 Spacing. Maximum six authors without the title along with the name, address of the institution placed under the title, accompanied by email addresses for the purposes of correspondence.
- Abstract made in Indonesian and English in the form of one paragraph of up to 200 words and 1 spacing. The abstract should contain the Research Objectives, Methods, Major Results, and Principal Summary and keywords of at least 3 keywords.
- Introduction, contains background research, problems and ends with the purpose of research. The background is outlined by an inverted pyramid method Method,
- Method, the research method is explained in detail starting from the type of research, location, time, population and sample, sampling technique, data collection and analysis technique, and data presentation.
- Results, describe the characteristics of research subjects, univariate outcomes, bivariate outcomes and multivariate outcomes (if any).
- Discussion, describe and compare characteristics of research subjects, univariate outcomes, bivariate outcomes and multivariate outcomes (if any) with prior studies either in alignment or not.
- Conclusions and suggestions (if any)
- Acknowledge (thanks if any)
- Bibliography (Vancouver method of row spacing 1 spacing)
Tables, graphs, and pictures
The tables are numbered in sequence with the order of mention in the text and are given a short title at the top of the table with a size of 10pt. Each column is given a short subtitle. Place a non-standard abbreviation annotation found in the table in the footnote, not the title. Maximum number of tables 6 pieces. Table is not vertical and colorless (black and white). Placed at the top or bottom of the text page.
Review Process
The text after the editorial selection will be sent to the reviewer for a blind peer review and the results of the assessment may be: 1) Accepted without change, 2) Accepted with change, or 3) Denied.

Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- Articles have never been published or published to be published in a journal.
- File articles in the form of OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Posts typed on A4 paper, upper, lower, and side borders 2.50cm, 1 spacing, Times New Roman 11 font, no back and forth, maximum 15 pages and 1 abstract page.
- In the review process the author does not know who the reviewer.
- Every article that goes into Jurnal Kedokteran dan Kesehatan will check plagiarism with software according to the management policy.
