PUBLIC POLICIES AND SPATIAL JUSTICE: THE WEST DISTRICT IN ROSARIO
Abstract
Macroeconomic policies excluded a great number of the population from formal labor market; urban policies accompanied the process of exclusion by concentrating the poor in specific sites on the edges of the city. Thus poverty nucleuses have been formed and now they are a very complex problem that hinders their inclusion to the city. The urban policies implemented, beyond they contribute to solve the housing demand and the access to some urban facilities and services, ended up promoting a process of socio-spatial fragmentation and accentuated situations of spatial injustice.
