Implementasi Metode Single Minute Exchange Of Die Untuk Mengurangi Waktu Persiapan dan Penyesuaian Mold di Industri Polimer

PT. X adalah manufaktur polimer terkemuka nasional yang berfokus pada produksi komponen sepeda motor. Di departemen produksi, akan ada target output yang harus dicapai per hari. Berdasarkan data, pada Oktober 2017, output aktual dari mesin hanya dapat memenuhi 85,09%, pada November 2017 adalah 83,97% dan pada Desember 2017 adalah 83,62% yang berarti terjadi penurunan pada saat itu. Faktor yang paling mempengaruhi proses produksi tidak dapat mencapai target adalah downtime. SMED dipilih sebagai topik utama yang termasuk dalam downtime yang direncanakan. Pengaturan saat ini dan waktu mold penyesuaian adalah satu jam lima puluh delapan menit empat puluh sembilan detik. Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) digunakan untuk mengurangi waktu pengaturan dan penyesuaian. Setelah perbaikan, waktu setup dan penyesuaian mold menjadi satu jam lima belas menit dan delapan belas detik. Ini berkurang 37% dari proses saat ini. Total biaya untuk perbaikan adalah IDR 734.680.000 dan penghematan setelah perbaikan adalah IDR 160.171.200. BEP adalah empat bulan dan 19 hari.Referensi
