PENGARUH KEBERAGAMAN ACTIVITY SUPPORT TERHADAP TERBENTUKNYA CITRA KAWASAN DI JALAN PANDANARAN KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Suatu kawasan perkotaan tidak dapat terlepas dari activity support terutama pada kawasan pusat kota. Kehadiran activity support di suatu kawasan pusat kota adalah sebagai pemenuh kebutuhan bagi masyarakatnya, selain itu agar suatu kawasan kota lebih ‘hidup’. Salah satu kawasan pusat kota yang memiliki keberagaman activity support di Kota Semarang adalah Jalan Pandanaran. Pada perencanaannya, kawasan Jalan Pandanaran ini memang difungsikan sebagai kawasan komersial. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, kemudian hadir fungsi bangunan lain seperti perkantoran yang melengkapi keberagaman aktivitas di kawasan ini. Adanya keberagaman yang terjadi di kawasan ini, tentu ada pengaruhnya terhadap terbentuknya citra kawasan. Dengan keberagaman activity support yang ada di Jalan Pandanaran, masyarakat kota Semarang sangat mengenal kawasan Jalan Pandanaran sebagai kawasan pusat oleh-oleh dimana kawasan pusat oleh-oleh hanya sebagian dari penggal Jalan Pandanaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keberagaman activity support terhadap terbentuknya citra kawasan. Metode kuantitatif rasionalistik digunakan dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur, kuesioner, dan observasi lapangan. Selanjutnya analisis statistik dengan uji regresi menggunakan software SPSS 17.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh keberagaman activity support  terhadap terbentuknya citra kawasan sebesar 40%.

ABSTRACT. An urban area cannot be separated from activity support particularly in central bussines district within city center. The presence of activity support in urban area is as a provider for its society needs, on the other hand, it will support the living urban areas.  One of a city center area within Semarang city which have diversity of activity support is Jalan Pandanaran. According to the  urban planning of Semarang, Jalan Pandanaran  area has been purposed as a commercial district. As the time go, the presence of another function of building such as office complex which complete the diversities of activity support in this district. The existence of these diversities that occurs within this area, surely has its influence to the form of the image of the area. But  the phenomena that happen with those diversity of activity support at Jalan Pandanaran, this area is well known as “semarang-ish” culinary centre and souvenir in Semarang City which the souvenir center only the half of Jalan Pandanaran. This research is aimed to know the influences of activity support diversity to the image area formed. A quantitative rasionalistic method is used by collecting literature study, questionnaires and field observationns. The method of  data analysis will use statistical analysis by regression test using SPSS 17.0 software for windows. This research has shown that there is influence of activity support diversity to the image area formed as amount as 40%.
