Biophilic is an architectural concept that seeks to connect humans with nature through building design, based on the theory of biophilia where humans have a love for nature. By implementing the concept of biophilic architectural design, it is hoped that it can improve the quality of human life and the surrounding environment, by integrating natural elements into spaces built by humans. One example of the application of biophilic design is in tourism education center buildings, such as science centers, which usually have closed building characteristics or orientation. By using biophilic design principles, such as natural materials, natural light, fresh air, plants, water, and organic forms, you can create spaces that are more attractive, comfortable, and interactive for visitors. Apart from that, biophilic design can also help increase visitors' concentration and motivation of learn, which is in accordance with the main function of the building, namely as an educational facility. Therefore, this research aims to determine the most relevant and effective biophilic design principles to be applied to tourist education center buildings. As a case study, this research will take the example of the National Ecological Institute or Ecorium, which is a tourist education center building that has successfully integrated natural systems into its design, through the use of water, animal and vegetation elements.
