PENERAPAN KONSEP TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT (TOD) PADA PENATAAN KAWASAN DI KOTA TANGERANG

ABSTRAK. Perkotaan berkelanjutan memerlukan adanya keseimbangan antara ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan. Berkelanjutan secara ekonomi adalah dalam pengertian pencapaian pertumbuhan yang berkelanjutan dan efisien dalam penggunaan sumber daya. Saat ini kinerja ekonomi secara nasional terutama di kawasan perkotaan sebagai pusat pertumbuhan ekonomi menderita biaya ekonomi tinggi akibat dari penataan ruang dan transportasi yang buruk. Pembangunan berorientasi transit atau Transit Oriented Development (TOD) adalah suatu konsep pengelolaan ruang dan transportasi secara terintegrasi. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik TOD apa saja yang sudah diimplementasikan pada kawasan stasiun kota Tangerang sebagai kawasan transit berbasis TOD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam penyusunannya dengan di lakukannya penataan pada kawasan stasiun kota Tangerang akan meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi, memudahkan masyarakat dalam menggunakan transportasi umum yang saling terintegrasi, mengurangi penggunaan kendaraan bermotor untuk menjadikan kawasan di sekitar stasiun kota Tangerang lebih bersih dan tertata, sehingga dapat mencerminkan citra kota yang baik.Kata Kunci: Transit Oriented Development (TOD), penataan ruang, transportasi, Stasiun kota Tangerang. ABSTRACT. Sustainable urban need the presence of the balance between economic, social ,and the environment .Sustainable economically is in the sense that the achievement of sustainable growth and efficient in the use of resources .Currently performance national economy especially in urban areas as a center economic growth suffering from high economic cost a result of the spatial planning and transportation bad .The construction of a transit or oriented transit oriented development (TOD) is a concept the management of space and an integrated transport. This research important to know characteristic tod how much implemented for the station tangerang as the area transit based tod.With in do the arrangement of the station tangerang will increase economic growth, facilitate the public in uses public transportation integrated, reduce the use of motor vehicle to make the from the station tangerang cleaner and tidier, so as to reflect image good city.
