PENERAPAN ARSITEKTUR METAFORA PADA BANGUNAN PENDIDIKAN GIRI WIJAYA WIKASATRIAN

ABSTRAK. Indonesia telah merdeka selama 74 tahun, angka tersebut merupakan usia yang cukup matang bagi sebuah negara untuk terus berkembang diberbagai bidang, salah satunya adalah perencanaan mengenai insfrastruktur yang layak dibidang pendidikan. Bangunan pendidikan bisa direncanakan dan dirancang dengan baik untuk merepresentasikan salah satu karakter pendidikan, sehingga dapat berperan untuk membantu mengidentifikasi karakter yang ditujukan oleh suatu lembaga pendidikan. Hal tersebut bisa diwujudkan dalam perencanaan dan perancangan bangunan melalui pendekatan asritektur matafora. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui dan memahami penerapan konsep dan kategori metafora pada bangunan Giri Wijaya Wikasatrian. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan objek dari penelitian ini adalah bangunan Giri Wijaya Wikasatrian. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu, massa, fasad, dan atap termasuk Combined Metaphor, sedangkan denah dan tangganya termasuk Tangible Metaphor. Kata Kunci: arsitektur, bangunan, metafora, pendidikan ABSTRACT. Indonesia has been independent for 74 years, this number is a ripe age for a country to continue to develop in various fields, one of which is planning on proper infrastructure in the field of education. Educational buildings can be planned and well designed to represent one of the characteristics of education, so that it can play a role to help identify the character intended by an educational institution. This can be realized in the planning and design of buildings through the Matafora architectural approach. The purpose of this research is to know and understand the application of the concepts and categories of metaphors in the building of Giri Wijaya Wikasatrian. This research method uses descriptive qualitative method, while the object of this research is the Giri Wijaya Wikasatrian building. The conclusion of this study is that the mass, facade, and roof are included in the Combined Metaphor, while the floor plan and stairs include Tangible Metaphor..
