English Language in Focus (ELIF)

ELIF Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually (in February and August) by Faculty of Educational Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta. The journal is hosted online in 2018, with an e-ISSN registration number. Its scope conceptually covers all aspects of English Applied Linguistics, including bilingualism, multilingualism, conversation and contrastive analysis, sign linguistics, language assessment, literacies, discourse analysis, interlinguistics, stylistics, pragmatics, and translation.

ELIF Journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public. It aims to provide informed-discussion media with relevance to real-world issues. Any visitor to this site can read the contents and download the PDF files. 

The journal is currently abstracted or indexed by Google Scholar, Garuda, BASE, Academia, Researchgate.
