The Influence of a Realistic Mathematics Approach on Learning Outcomes of Mathematics Fractions in Primary School Students
Abstract
PMR is a realistic approach to mathematics education developed in 1970 in the Netherlands. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a realistic mathematics education approach on the learning outcomes of mathematical fractions at SD Karakater BangsaDepok. This research method is a quantitative descriptive with the chi-square hypothesis test. Students of class V and class III are objects of research to describe student activities, learning outcomes, and student responses after a realistic mathematics education approach. From the research conducted, the calculated chi-square is higher than the chi-square in table, so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected. In the sense that the realistic approach to mathematics has an appositive influence and impact on students' understanding.
