Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang sering kali disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang kurang inovatif dan tidak kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) yang diintegrasikan dengan media batik terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Model CIRC dipilih karena pendekatan kooperatifnya yang dapat meningkatkan interaksi dan kolaborasi antar siswa, sementara media batik digunakan untuk membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik, kontekstual, dan relevan dengan budaya lokal di SMA Dharma Karya UT Tangerang Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) yang berbantuan Media BATIK (Hebat Statistika) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan pada hasil uji Mann-Whitney U > U-kritis, dengan nilai U = 503 dan U-kritis = 82. Selain itu, rata-rata hasil post-test kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi, yaitu 52, sedangkan rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol adalah 25,316.
