PENGUKURAN LINE BALANCING DAN SIMULASI PROMODEL DI PT. CATERPILLLAR INDONESIA

P.T. Caterpillar Indonesia adalah suatu perusahaan yang sering disebut juga dengan nama PT. CIPT, yang bergerak di bidang industri otomotif khusus alat berat. Pada lanita produksi PT. CIPT terdapat proses produksi perakitan part dengan cara pengelasan, pada lini produksi khususnya Department Fabrication ada empat Section Department yaitu Boom, Stick, Swing Frame dan Base Frame. Pada proses Swing Frame akan dihitung keseimbangan lintasannya atau line balancing dengan urutan perhitungan adalah menghitung efisiensi lini, waktu mengangur, balance delay, smoothness index dan kapasitas produksi. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan didapat hasil efisiensi lini sebesr 58,25 %, balance delay 41,74%, idle time 592,3 menit, smoothness index 266,97 dan kapasitas produksi unit/hari/orang. Gambaran simulasi promodel didapat hasil 8 stasiun kerja, dengan utilization terhadap operator yang bekerja adalah sebesar 74.30%, Untuk area yang digunakan operator selama transportasi (In Travel To Use) didapatkan hasil keluaran sebesar 0,56%. Kata kunci: Balance Delay, Idle Time, Smoothness Index.
