Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan distributor mesin boiler dan supplier chemical water treatment boiler untuk berbagai industri manukfatur maupun industri yang lain. Produk chemical watert treatment boiler menjadi produksi utama yang memiliki permintaan terus menerus setiap bulan. Bahan baku utama yang paling penting dalam produksi chemical water treatment boiler yaitu coustic soda, sodium citrate dan sodium sulfite. Data kebutuhan bahan baku produksi chemical water treatment boiler yang paling banyak adalah coustic soda sebanyak 100 Kg, sodium citrate dan sodium sulfite sebanyak 200 Kg dibandingkan dengan bahan baku penunjang lain. Kekurangan persediaan bahan baku menjadi masalah karena menyebabkan kekurangan jumlah produksi sehingga tidak memenuhi permintaan. Pengendalian persediaan bahan baku produksi chemical water treatment boiler dilakukan untuk membantu mengurangi masalah tersebut. Penggunaan metode Economic Order Quantity diharapkan dapat memberikan hasil yang baik untuk perusahaan. Dengan menggunakan data peramalan permintaan dari perusahaan dilakukan perhitungan untuk mendapatkan total biaya persediaan dan jumlah kebutuhan bahan baku chemical water treatment boiler yang ekonomis. Dari pengolahan data diperoleh pemesanan yang ekonomis dalam 6 bulan untuk coustic soda 5200 kg, sodium citrate 2400 kg dan sodium sulfite 3200 kg. Titik pemesanan kembali untuk coustic soda 446 Kg, sodium citrate 223 Kg dan sodium sulfate 140 Kg. Biaya total persediaan bahan baku produksi chemical water treatment boiler adalah Rp. 26.193.633 untuk coustic soda, Rp. 25.100.692 untuk sodium citrate dan Rp. 24.219.552 untuk sodium sulfite.
