PENGATURAN PRIVASI DALAM DESAIN RUMAH SEDERHANA

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Privasi adalah keinginan atau kecenderungan pada diri seseorang untuk tidak diganggu kesendiriannya. (Sarwono, 1992). Manusia adalah makhluk sosial yang perlu berinteraksi dengan makhluk lain untuk keberlangsungan hidupnya. Tetapi manusia sebagai individu juga memerlukan privasi atau mengatur jarak personalnya. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada pengaturan privasi dengan melihat pada desain rumah sederhana.
Desain rumah sederhana baik tipe 36 maupun 45 sebenarnya sudah mengupayakan pengaturan privasi. Namun karena keterbatasan luasan bangunan dan ruang, seringkali pengaturan privasi menjadi tidak efektif. Dalam perencanaan ruang dan zona, rumah sederhana sudah mengatur privasi. Akan tetapi karena kebutuhan ruang yang semakin berkembang maka pada rumah sederhana dibutuhkan perluasan ruang yang biasanya merupakan ruang publik. Begitupula halnya dengan pengaturan sirkulasi. Pengaturan privasi di dalam rumah diupayakan supaya jalur sirkulasi tidak terganggu atau mengganggu aktivitas. Selain itu jalur sirkulasi hendaknya tidak bisa digunakan untuk melihat secara langsung ke dalam aktivitas yang ada di dalam rumah.
Elemen bangunan yang menunjukkan pengaturan privasi antara lain terwujud dengan pemagaran, pintu dan jendela. Pemagaran pada rumah ditujukan untuk membatasi privasi seluruh penghuni rumah. Keberadaan pintu terutama yang mempunyai dua buah pintu juga merupakan pengaturan privasi yang baik. Sehingga apabila ada tamu di dalam rumah maka penghuni rumah tidak akan merasa terganggu.

ABSTRACT. Privacy is a need or tendency of someone who does not want to be disturbed (Sarwono, 1992). Human is a social creature who need to interact with others to survive. Though human as an individual also need privacy as well by creating a personal distance with others. This research is focused on privacy setting by defining at a design of simple house.
Design of simple house either 36 m2 or 45 m2 types, both are considering the setting of privacy needs. However, regarding to the limited building area and space, sometimes the setting of privacy is not effectively considered. In the process of planning in space and zones, simple house has setting the privacy need. However, the need of spaces has been regarded developed, this will affect space’s expansion of simple house which used to be a public space. This condition will affect the setting of circulation as well. The setting of privacy within house has been considered as an effective as possible though the circulation line will not disturb the activities within house. Furthermore, the circulation line should not been used as a direct view through the activities within house.
Building elements which could show setting privacy, could be defined as follow: by using fencing, doors and windows. Fencing at house is intended to control the privacy of residents. The existence of doors particularly house with two doors could be considered as a good privacy setting. Thus, if there are visitors within the house, the residents will not be disturbed by their existence.
