Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of effective learning media in achieving learning objectives. The purpose of this research is to obtain the feasibility of MODIS (Discount Monopoly) learning media development products based on gamificaion in education in learning mathematics at SDIT At Taqwa Pusat. This type of research uses the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of the first stage of development research are problem analysis shown by the lack of enthusiasm and difficulty of students in learning mathematics, especially counting operations, found a lack of varied media and limited learning using textbooks. Furthermore, the analysis of media needs related to the media to be developed according to the curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum. The second stage is the design of MODIS media using CorelDraw X7 software then printed and attached to a chessboard with a size of 50x50 cm. The third stage is application by collecting tools and materials, production by making MODIS game components, and product validation by experts and student responses as product trial subjects. The feasibility results in this study are media experts 98% (very feasible), material experts 78% (feasible), and linguists 80% (feasible). Furthermore, the results of student responses obtained a percentage of 85.39% (very feasible). Therefore, MODIS learning media based on gamificaion in education shows a quality that is suitable for use in the learning process and can support teachers in repeating operational fraction calculation material that has been taught.
